Please note, when paying for your visa application fee, you will have to pay the fee in Burmese currency or the your local currency, according to the exchange rates applied by the Burmese currency.

The Burmese visa fee vary depending on the type of Burmese visa and age of the applicant as well as some other exceptions.

The Burmese visa fee can be paid in the designated Burmese consulate or embassy via cash, debit or credit card.

However, some Burmese consulates may not allow you to pay by credit card.

Common reasons why your Burmese visa application got rejected include:

  • Lack of funds – you must be able to afford your trip Myanmar and you must provide documents to show that you can.
  • Proof of accommodation not provided – you must be able to show where you will be staying in Myanmar and you can easily do this by providing a hotel reservation in Myanmar.
  • The visa officer thinks you will not return to your home country – you must make it clear that you intend to leave Myanmar and return to your home country before the expiry of your visa. You can do this by providing documents that show you have ties where you live, such as an employment letter or proof that you own your home etc.
  • No proof of residence – you must be able to prove that you can live in the country of your residence legally, so you must provide proof of residence.
